Level Offerings
-
This class focuses on the bare basics of ballet fundamentals and is designed for absolute beginners with no prior experience. The class includes floor barre, barre work, and some center exercises. Students will learn essential elements such as basic leg and arm positions, classroom etiquette, terminology and proper muscle engagement. Elements of this Foundation series will emphasize balance, coordination, proper placement, rhythm, and basic jumps, all practiced slowly and with correct technique.
*This Foundations series will include (6) Six 1.5hr sessions and must be purchased as a package. Foundations will not be available for drop-ins and no make-up classes will be provided

This 30-minute class, held prior to the technique class, is designed as a safe, low-impact alternative to traditional barre work. Conducted entirely on the floor, it allows students to build strength, improve alignment, and increase flexibility without the strain of gravity. Floor barre prevents reliance on the barre or the temptation to force turnout, instead emphasizing correct placement and proper muscle engagement. Suitable for both beginners and advanced students alike, this class helps reset and prepare the body for classical ballet training.
-
This level is intended for students who are still relatively new to ballet, with approximately 0–2 years of consistent training. Students will be learning ballet basics and building confidence to execute steps. They should have a clear understanding of the structure of a ballet class—such as the progression from barre to center—as well as basic class etiquette, including spatial awareness and respect for fellow dancers. The focus remains on learning and solidifying foundational technique through simple phrasing and slow-paced combinations. Classes include plenty of instruction and detailed explanations to support learning and confidence.
-
At this level, students have developed greater confidence in the structure of a ballet class and are becoming stronger in their positions, with improved placement and balance. They are more familiar with step names and feel comfortable with commonly used combinations. While still working on standard corrections, they now have a better understanding of what to look for and how to apply adjustments. Beginner Technique 2 serves as a bridge to the intermediate level, and students may remain at this stage for an additional 1–2 years as they continue to build strength and confidence. The pace of the class is more consistent and less slow, with continued focus on corrections, along with an increased emphasis on phrasing and more dynamic movement.

Unlike many open classes that expect students to perform complex steps with minimal instruction, this class is designed to break down advanced ballet movements—such as tour jeté, saut de basque, grand fouettés, and chaîné turns—into their fundamental elements. While the structure and pace follow a traditional class format (barre and center), each session focuses on a specific “theme” step, with all combinations tailored to build toward its proper execution. For example, if the theme is tour jeté, every exercise—from pliés to grand battements—will support that goal. This class is best suited for dancers between Beginner 2 and Intermediate levels who have a solid foundation, understand ballet terminology, and are ready to be challenged with more advanced technique.

Beginner Pointe 1 is designed for students at the intermediate level with approximately 3–4 years of consistent ballet training in flat technique shoes. While years of training serve as a guideline, readiness for pointe ultimately depends on individual foot and ankle strength. Students must have a strong technical foundation in classical ballet. This 45-minute class introduces the fundamentals of pointe work and must be taken immediately after the Intermediate Open Class; it cannot be taken on its own, as proper preparation is essential to reduce the risk of injury. Independent warm-ups are not sufficient. Most of the class will be done at the barre, with some introductory center work. If a student is deemed unsafe for pointe, the instructor may require them to continue in flat shoes.

At this level, the class moves at a steady pace and is intended for students with a solid foundation in ballet basics. Combinations will begin to incorporate 2–3 concepts or steps, with greater focus on phrasing, musicality, and dynamic execution. Students will work on more challenging elements such as balances, turns (en tournant), relevés, battus, traveling steps, and jumps. While continuing to refine fundamental technique, this level may also occasionally introduce advanced elements to support further growth and readiness for higher levels.

This 2-hour class includes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of technique followed by 45 minutes of pointe work. It is designed for intermediate-level students who demonstrate strong technical ability and have been consistently training on pointe for at least 2 years. Students must feel confident and competent in their pointe work, as this class focuses on flow and combinations rather than breaking down new steps. If a student is not working safely on pointe, the instructor may ask them to switch to flat shoes. After technique, students return to the barre for a pointe warm-up before progressing to center work, which will include échappés, changements, piqués, fondu, pirouettes, and more. This class is not suitable for beginners on pointe.

This class offers students a fun opportunity to learn and perform classical ballet variations they’ve seen on stage. While technique classes build essential skills, this series brings the added excitement of preparing for a live presentation, whether for a small or large audience.
Each series focuses on one variation, which begins with a short 15–20 minute barre warm-up followed by dedicated time to learn and refine the choreography. The final session includes a casual in-studio showing for friends and family. While students are encouraged to attend all three sessions, those who miss one may still participate; however, make-up sessions will not be available.
-
This class is designed for highly experienced students with 5–7 years of training who are ready for a greater challenge. It moves at a faster pace than beginner or intermediate levels, with longer combinations that incorporate 4–5 concepts to build stamina and complexity. Students are expected to have a strong grasp of ballet terminology and be prepared for more advanced turns and jumps. While the instructor will offer guidance and welcome questions, the focus is on delivering a dynamic, fast-paced class that draws heavily from the classical ballet canon.
